Open Source Embedded Software Manager

Lead open-source embedded software development at QNX through C/C++ expertise, RTOS engineering, and a 50/50 hybrid technical-leadership model.

As an Embedded Development Manager, you will shape open-source technology within QNX’s safety-critical, high-reliability platform. You will combine hands-on development with team leadership across porting, integration, upstream collaboration, and embedded systems engineering. The work supports QNX technology used in automotive, robotics, medical devices, and other industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Port and optimize open-source projects for QNX RTOS
• Design integration layers, build systems, and CI/CD workflows
• Integrate open-source software with QNX subsystems
• Upstream QNX-relevant changes and collaborate with communities
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to engineers

Requirements:

• Significant progressive embedded software experience
• Technical leadership and software engineering mentorship experience
• Strong C/C++ and hands-on RTOS development skills
• Understanding of hardware architectures and cross-compilation toolchains
• Experience developing device drivers
