OpenCPI Engineer

Location: Cheltenham
Salary: Up to £85,000

We are looking for an experienced OpenCPI Engineer to join a growing and highly trusted organisation delivering mission-critical technology within the National Security domain.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge SIGINT, RF, SDR and FPGA-based systems, supporting the delivery of high-performance capabilities into secure customer environments.

The Role

As an OpenCPI Engineer, you will work across the development and integration of OpenCPI solutions, FPGA-based systems and embedded SDR platforms.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing and optimising OpenCPI components and applications
  • Developing OpenCPI workers and containers using C/C++ and HDL
  • Working with VHDL/Verilog and Xilinx FPGA technologies
  • Integrating DSP chains into FPGA and embedded Linux environments
  • Supporting the development of SDR, RF and SIGINT capabilities
  • Contributing to system architecture and technical design decisions
  • Optimising systems for performance, latency and resource utilisation
  • Supporting hardware/software integration within secure environments
  • Working closely with technical and delivery teams to deploy mission-critical solutions

About You

We’re looking for engineers with strong experience in:

  • OpenCPI
  • VHDL and/or Verilog
  • Xilinx FPGA
  • SDR / DSP / RF technologies
  • Embedded Linux
  • C/C++
  • Hardware/software integration

Experience working within National Security, Defence or MOD environments would be highly desirable.

Security Clearance

Active MOD DV clearance is required.
