Overview

As OpenCPI Lead Software Engineer, you will steer SDR and RF software development using the OpenCPI framework. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to design, integrate, test, and optimize defence-grade RF systems. You’ll mentor junior engineers and shape technical standards while engaging with clients and partners. The role combines hands-on development with design leadership in a high-impact, mission-focused environment. You’ll contribute to cutting-edge RF capabilities and AI/ML-enabled innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and integration of SDR systems using the OpenCPI framework
  • Serve as subject matter expert in RF systems design within a cross-functional team
  • Implement test-driven development and oversee verification/validation using OpenCPI
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and drive evolution of technical standards
  • Interact with teams and stakeholders to ensure customer and partner success
  • Drive innovation using AI/ML tooling and hybrid cloud environments
  • Provide detailed performance reports and proposed solutions to engineering and customer teams
Key requirements
  • Significant experience as a senior or lead developer with OpenCPI
  • Strong RF communications and SDR architectures background
  • Expertise in digital signal processing, algorithms or payload development, and embedded systems design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or VHDL for embedded apps; Python
