Operational Technology Consultant

Overview

In this role you will contribute to PA’s Digital & Data practice by delivering secure, innovative software solutions for clients. You’ll work with cross-functional teams on agile projects, solving complex problems and shaping client outcomes. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and authentic testing of ideas through whiteboarding and hands-on problem solving. You’ll engage with diverse industries and have opportunities to grow technically within a supportive, inclusive culture with a clear focus on impact and client-centric delivery.

• Collaborate in agile teams across client projects and internal initiatives
• Participate in live whiteboarding sessions to co-create solutions
• Work on client sites or in-office with hybrid arrangements (minimum 2 days/week) and varying allocations
• Solve client problems using technical skills and contribute to internal projects
• Engage in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and ongoing learning within the tech community
• Participate in interviews and assessment rounds as part of the hiring process

• Security management of industrial control and OT systems (process control, SCADA, distributed control, PLCs, RTUs) and related applications
• Industrial cyber security risk management, architecture, and monitoring
• Experience or knowledge across sectors: electricity, oil and gas, water, civil nuclear, transport, and critical infrastructure
• Familiarity with security standards: NCSC NIS Guidance, CAF, ISO 27001/27005, NERC CIP, ISA-99/IEC 62443, NIST CSF
• Awareness of UK security clearance requirements and residency considerations for certain roles
