OT Architect (Operational Technology Architect)

Contract | 750 per day | Inside IR35

London | 3 Days Onsite per Week

An experienced OT Architect is required for a leading organisation embarking on a large-scale Operational Technology and industrial network transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT Architect to play a key role in designing and securing critical operational environments across manufacturing, utilities, transport, energy, or other industrial sectors.

Working closely with engineering, infrastructure, cyber security, and operational teams, you will define and deliver OT architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps while ensuring alignment with both business and regulatory requirements.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as an OT Architect, ICS Architect, Industrial Network Architect, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and SCADA environments.
• Experience designing secure industrial networks and segmented architectures.
• Strong understanding of:
• SCADA
• PLCs
• DCS environments
• Industrial Ethernet
• Network segmentation
• Firewalls
• Remote access solutions
• Zero Trust principles
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as:
• Modbus
• DNP3
• OPC-UA
• Profinet
• EtherNet/IP
• Experience with OT cyber security frameworks and standards including:
• IEC 62443
• NIST
• NIS2
• ISO 27001
• Experience working within highly regulated environments.

Desirable Skills

• Cloud connectivity within OT environments (Azure or AWS).
• Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies.
• Experience with OT monitoring and threat detection platforms.
• Relevant certifications such as:
• GICSP
• CISSP
• TOGAF
• ISA/IEC 62443 certifications
• Azure Security certifications
