Operations Finance Accountant

Support Operations Finance at Metro Supply Chain Group through full-cycle accounting, business analysis, and stakeholder communication. Advanced Excel skills are required.

This Accountant reports to a Finance Manager or Controller within a collaborative team of more than 20 finance professionals. The position supports multiple operating divisions through accounting services, financial analysis, budgeting inputs, and variance explanations. Accounting software exposure is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial insights and explain budget-to-actual variances
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reviews
• Prepare budget and forecast inputs in VENA
• Prepare expense allocations and stakeholder financial communications
• Support year-end, tax, and other audit documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• CPA designation in progress
• At least two to three years of accounting experience
• Exposure to D365 F&O, Management Reporter, or VENA
• Extensive knowledge of Canadian GAAP
