Ophthalmology Physician

A well-established outpatient eye care practice in Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, productive practice with a strong support team and a consistent schedule.

Position Highlights

• Ongoing locum tenens assignment
• Outpatient clinic and surgical responsibilities
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• No call required
• Preferred schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• Epic EMR
  
• Michigan license or IMLC required

Practice Details

• Busy, high-volume ophthalmology practice
• Approximately 20 patients per day
• Two experienced Medical Assistants providing support
• Provider expected to maintain a productive schedule
• Clinic visits, procedures, and surgical cases included

Required Skills & Procedures

Candidates must be comfortable with:

• Cataract surgery
• Phacoemulsification
• Intraocular lens implantation
• Intravitreal injections
• Comprehensive ophthalmology care
• Anterior and posterior segment procedures
• Glaucoma treatment and management
• Diagnostic interpretation including OCT and ophthalmic imaging

Requirements

• Board Certified Ophthalmologist
• Active Michigan license or eligibility through IMLC
• BLS certification
• Ability to perform cataract surgery and intravitreal injections independently
