Optical Systems Application Engineer

Design and commission optical measurement systems with hands-on instrumentation expertise in the GTA, including international customer travel. Manage technical delivery from concept through installation.

At KELK Canada, part of Vishay Precision Group, you will support the Optical Products Group as an Application Engineer. The role combines customer-facing field work, system configuration, integration, calibration, testing, and validation. You will coordinate technical projects while working with production, engineering, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure optical and instrumentation systems for customer applications
• Develop mechanical layouts, wiring diagrams, and system interconnections
• Support setup, calibration, testing, and system validation
• Install, commission, and service systems at global customer sites
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, automation, and control systems

Requirements:

• Engineering degree or relevant technologist or technician diploma
• Three to seven years in industrial environments
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation, sensors, and automation
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, drives, encoders, and process control
• Ability to travel internationally and work in Canada
