Advanced Resource Managers (A.R.M.)
Overview
In this Oracle DBA role you will maintain enterprise database environments, ensuring availability, security, and performance. You will work with cross-functional teams to install, tune, and secure Oracle databases and related technologies. You will lead backup/recovery and disaster recovery efforts and support new database technologies. This position offers the opportunity to shape scalable database architectures and drive operational excellence in line with SLAs and KPIs.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor and optimise database performance and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures
- Support and deploy new database technologies and enhancements
- Design, build, and integrate complex database solutions
- Develop reports, dashboards, and database monitoring tools
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define technical requirements and database architectures
- Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are achieved
- Support testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements across database environments
- Strong Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments
- Advanced SQL and database administration skills
- Experience with database security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard
- Experience with Windows and Linux server environments
- PowerShell and Unix Shell scripting skills
- Strong understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Experience with database modelling and capacity planning
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline
