Oracle Developer
We're looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting a suite of business-critical applications and databases.This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle specialist who enjoys working across PL/SQL & SQL while also having the opportunity to contribute to application development, enhancements, BAU support and technical improvements.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Location: London - Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
The Role
You'll become a key technical expert across Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders and be responsible for supporting and developing a suite of distributed Oracle 19c databases and the applications that sit across them. You'll work on a mixture of BAU activity, enhancements and new development, while also providing technical support and helping to resolve complex database and application issues.
Key skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with strong hands-on Oracle development experience who enjoys solving problems and understanding how applications and databases work together.
- Proven experience in Oracle database development using PL/SQL
- Strong SQL skills and experience using tools such as SQL Developer, Toad or SQL*Plus
- Experience writing complex and performance-focused SQL queries
- Experience debugging and performance-tuning PL/SQL
- Experience with ETL processes and data extraction/transformation/loading
- Working knowledge of database partitioning and materialised views
- Experience working within a production/support environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A good understanding of database best practices
- Experience working within structured procedures and project lifecycles
Desirable skills
- Experience with Oracle Forms 12c / Oracle Fusion Middleware
- Oracle APEX
