Interventional Pain Medicine Physician, Presque Isle, Maine Full-Time or Part-Time Permanent 1099 Independent Contractor Position Overview

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification: Board certified or truly board eligible in Interventional Pain Medicine

• Fellowship: ACGME-accredited fellowship training required

• Acceptable Training: Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

• Medical License: Maine medical license or ability to obtain one; confirm with the client

Clinical Responsibilities

• Interventional pain procedures, with medication management as appropriate

• Medial branch blocks (MBB)

• Radiofrequency ablations (RFA)

• Spinal cord stimulator trials

• Chronic pain referrals; patient population is not limited to personal injury cases

• Procedural mix can be tailored to the physician's experience

Schedule & Clinical Support

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

• Full-time or part-time availability

• Weekly or every-other-week scheduling options

• Collaboration with physicians and/or advanced practice providers, depending on the site

• Support staff may include RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants

• No formal call schedule; answering service handles calls, with occasional consults as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: Competitive; specific compensation discussed directly with the client

• Guaranteed Income: Two-year income guarantee

• After Year Two: Transition to a collections-based compensation model

• Collections: Physician collects 100% of professional fees minus direct expenses

• Malpractice Insurance: Provided

• Health Insurance: Stipend provided
