Paraplanner

In this Paraplanner role, you will support the Financial Planning Team with technical research, suitability documentation, and new business processing. You will help develop colleagues’ knowledge and maintain your own technical expertise. You’ll operate within a values-driven firm that aims to build durable client relationships and a trusted advisory culture. This position offers the chance to contribute to steady growth while maintaining high service standards. You will work hybrid in Kendal and support cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

• Conduct research to prepare advice for new and existing clients
• Compile suitability letters aligned with advised recommendations
• Process new business workflows
• Provide feedback to Financial Planning Consultants on fact-find improvements
• Support development of colleagues’ technical and research knowledge
• Maintain and expand personal technical knowledge

• A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
• Significant paraplanning experience (5+ years desirable)
• Knowledge of Conduct of Business (COBS)
• Knowledge of Code of Conduct (COCON)
• Knowledge of FCA Money Laundering (SYSC)
• Basic knowledge of other accountancy services (Audit, Tax, Insolvency, Corporate Finance, VAT)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with willingness to assist colleagues
• Good IT skills and attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
