Partner - Financial & Executive Lines

In this role you will lead and develop a specialist financial lines practice within a UK law firm renowned for its insurance work. You will advise insurers and insureds on coverage, complex claims, and disputes, while coordinating with the firm’s broader corporate, regulatory, and disputes capabilities. The role focuses on building a portable, high-impact practice that scales across a wider platform, leveraging key client relationships and market visibility. You will shape strategy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to the insurance-led growth of the firm.

• Advise insurers and insureds on coverage, complex claims and disputes
• Lead and develop the financial lines practice with depth and credibility across multiple sub-classes
• Collaborate with corporate, regulatory, and commercial disputes teams to service end-to-end matters
• Manage client relationships and drive business development to grow the practice on a broader platform
• Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and cross-market capabilities
• Engage in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions as part of the practice scope
• Mentor and lead junior lawyers and support staff beneath partner level

• Established, portable practice of approximately 500,000 to 750,000
• Currently at Partner or Legal Director level in a firm with a recognised financial lines offering
• Strong client relationships and market visibility in the financial lines space
• Experience advising across D&O, professional indemnity, financial institutions, surety, trade credit, political risk
• Ability to lead across multiple insurance classes and to work with insurers and insureds
