Join the collaborative and mission-driven pathology team at the VA Western New York Healthcare System in Buffalo, NY, where you will play a vital role in providing accurate, high-quality diagnostic services for our nation's Veterans.

As a Pathologist, you will interpret a broad spectrum of anatomic and clinical pathology specimens, perform intraoperative frozen sections, review hematology and body fluid analyses, and-when subspecialty training applies-evaluate bone marrow biopsies and oversee flow cytometry for hematologic disorders. You will mentor residents and trainees, actively participate in multidisciplinary conferences such as Tumor Board and GI Conference, and collaborate with clinical teams to support precision-informed patient care. Additional responsibilities include conducting or supervising autopsies, issuing timely preliminary and final reports, contributing to quality assurance programs, and participating in equitable on-call coverage.

This full-time position offers competitive salary with annual performance bonuses, up to $200,000 in Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) benefits, and a comprehensive federal benefits package including 50-55 days of paid time off, malpractice coverage, and robust retirement options. Candidates must hold an unrestricted U.S. medical license, have completed an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency, and be board eligible or board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with preference for applicants with hematopathology training.
