Morris Heights Health Center is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and solutions-oriented Special Projects Coordinator, Patient Experience to support initiatives designed to strengthen the experience of our patients and families across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys project coordination, healthcare operations, patient engagement, data and reporting, and process improvement and wants to help translate the patient voice into meaningful organizational change.

Reporting to Quality & Risk , the Special Projects Coordinator will work across clinical, operational, access, and administrative teams to coordinate patient experience initiatives, track outcomes, support service recovery, and help ensure that improvement efforts move from concept to implementation.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate patient experience and operational improvement projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
  • Support patient satisfaction and Voice of the Patient initiatives, including survey distribution, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identify trends in patient feedback, including access barriers, communication concerns, wait times, and workflow opportunities.
  • Support service recovery by tracking patient concerns and complaints, coordinating departmental follow-up, and helping ensure timely resolution and documentation.
  • Coordinate patient engagement and organizational initiatives such as Patient Experience Week, Patient Safety Awareness Week, health education campaigns, and staff engagement activities.
  • Develop and maintain project trackers, action plans, meeting documentation, workplans, and implementation materials.
  • Prepare leadership-ready reports, dashboards, presentations, and status updates highlighting trends, outcomes, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, and cross-functional workgroups, including scheduling, materials, logistics, follow-up, and accountability for next steps.
  • Support change-management activities associated with new workflows and organizational initiatives.
  • Partner with departments across MHHC to drive communication, execution, and follow-through.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Public Health, Health Administration, Community and Human Services, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, a community-based organization, or another service-oriented environment.
  • Experience with patient experience, patient satisfaction, service recovery, complaints/grievances, patient engagement, healthcare access, or quality/process improvement is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate initiatives involving multiple departments, stakeholders, or locations.

  • Bring a strong sense of ownership, follow-through, and attention to detail.
