We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join an engineering organization in Etobicoke, Ontario, on a long-term contract. The role supports payroll operations, employee data integrity, and reporting in a collaborative technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule while following company policies, payroll legislation, and applicable collective agreement requirements.
• Review bi-weekly and monthly payroll submissions, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before finalization.
• Maintain employee payroll and benefits information in payroll and HR systems.
• Prepare recurring payroll reports, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Administer deductions, taxable benefits, and related adjustments.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and business partners.
• Assist with payroll audits, remittances, and year-end activities.
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and payroll system activities.
