Pediatric - Endocrinology Physician

Position Overview:

• Specialty: Pediatric Endocrinology
  
• Location: Anchorage, AK
  
• Start Date: January 1, 2027 January 1, 2028 (Ongoing coverage)
  
• Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Clinic, & Telehealth / Virtual Call
  
• Patient Volume: 15 patients per shift
  
• EMR: Epic

Schedule & Workload Structure:

• In-Person Clinic & Call Weeks (2 Weeks/Month):
  
• Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  
• Call Schedule: Weeknight beeper call + 24-hour weekend beeper call
  
• Virtual Call Weeks (2 Weeks/Month):
  
• 24-Hour virtual hospital call coverage (Offsite/Telehealth) for continuity of care
  
• Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours/day (Overtime applies after 40 worked clinical hours per week)

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Board Certification: Board Certified in Pediatric Endocrinology
• Licensure: Active Alaska Medical License required (Will consider providers willing to obtain a temporary AK license while full licensure is in progress).
  
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  
• DEA: Active DEA

Practice Highlights:

• Support Staff: Dedicated team including 1 RN, 1 MA, 10 PA/NPs, and 2 Office Staff members.
• Trauma & Peds Level: Level 2 Trauma Center / Level 2 Pediatric Facility.
  
• Responsibilities: Mix of scheduled clinical appointments, phone consults, and inpatient coverage. No direct supervision of APPs or teaching/residents required.
