Performance Analyst

In this role you support the battery storage trading operations by turning market data into actionable insights. You will evaluate trading performance, assess strategy effectiveness, and deliver client-facing reports that reflect contractual commitments. You’ll work with traders, data scientists, and tech teams to improve trading KPIs and expose opportunities across wholesale, Balancing Mechanism, and ancillary services. • Analyze trading activities and profitability across day-ahead, intraday, BM, and ancillary services; assess strategy effectiveness and identify improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance and explain market trends, outcomes, and competitor behavior.
• Conduct market analysis by exploring large datasets to understand drivers and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
• Prepare and deliver tailored performance reports for external clients, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and addressing inquiries.
• Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and models for retrospective and real-time performanceTracking; collaborate to integrate tools into the product suite.
• Present complex data accessibly to internal and external stakeholders and stay informed about market developments in battery storage.
• Collaborate with Trading & Operations, Business Development, and Commercial Leadership to align analytics with business goals.

• At least one year of analytics or reporting experience in commodities or finance.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis (Pandas, Plotly or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of probability and statistics and their application to analytics.
• Experience with SQL databases and APIs as data sources.
• Ability to extract actionable insights from complex, noisy datasets.
• Detail-oriented with strong reporting accuracy.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
