Performance Test Engineer

Performance Test Engineer (Contract) – Toronto, ON

Location: Toronto, ON (5 days Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer with hands-on experience in load and performance testing for web applications, REST APIs, and cloud-native microservices. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a DevOps environment with modern CI/CD tools and containerized applications.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in system testing and test automation.
• Strong experience in load and performance testing using Apache JMeter (or equivalent tools like Gatling or k6).
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, web applications, and microservices.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and API testing.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Spinnaker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of JSON, API integrations, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or OpenShift.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing, test automation frameworks, and observability tools like OpenTelemetry.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
