Perioperative Anesthesia Specialist

The Certified Anesthesiology Assistant at MUSC Ashley River Tower in Charleston provides perioperative management for anesthesia services, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative evaluation of patients and administration of anesthetics under a physician-approved protocol.

The AA operates anesthesia equipment, assists in patient transport, maintains records, and participates in teaching and continuing education under supervision of the anesthesiologist and CRNA manager.
