PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist

A healthcare organization in Jacksonville, Florida is looking for an experienced PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its outpatient cardiac imaging team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Position Highlights

• Full-time and part-time opportunities

• Outpatient setting specializing in cardiac SPECT/PET imaging

• Work with advanced imaging technology, including an Omni Legend scanner

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort

• Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as appropriate

• Review images for diagnostic quality and accuracy

• Perform equipment quality assurance and maintain a clean, safe imaging environment

• Educate patients about procedures and provide compassionate care

What We're Looking For

• Relevant professional certification in Nuclear Medicine or PET imaging

• Appropriate Florida authorization to perform SPECT/PET imaging

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Strong IV placement and administration skills

• Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, imaging equipment, and radiation safety

• Excellent patient care and communication skills

• Strong technical, organizational, and computer skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with healthcare professionals

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience performing cardiac SPECT/PET imaging

• Familiarity with advanced PET imaging technology

• Experience working in an outpatient imaging environment

• Strong patient education and clinical problem-solving skills
