PHP SQL Web Developer Fintech

In this role you will help build and optimize our proprietary financial data platform and media-focused websites. You’ll work alongside frontend developers, designers, and content specialists to deliver fast, responsive experiences. The position blends backend PHP development with WordPress customization and frontend touches to support marketing and data-driven features. You’ll explore new technologies and contribute to scalable, high-performance web solutions. This is a hands-on, collaborative role at a tech-driven fintech firm with opportunities to grow.

• Code new WordPress themes, templates, and plugins; modify existing ones
• Build efficient, testable PHP modules with dynamic content and personalization
• Integrate WordPress plugins, APIs, and third-party apps (e.g., Eloqua)
• Manage backend services and data interchange between server and user
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness for frontend requests
• Develop front-end assets for marketing communications (websites, micro-sites, landing pages, emails)
• Cross-browser, cross-device testing and troubleshooting
• Provide guidance on SEO best practices in site development
• Research and recommend new technologies for integration across platforms

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years as a web developer
• Experience creating and integrating custom WordPress plugins and themes
• Mobile-first website development experience
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive frameworks (Foundation, Bootstrap)
• Ideally knowledge of React JS
• Experience with online usability, accessibility, and web analytics
• Experience with ad serving technologies (prebid, DFP)
• Experience with versioning systems (Subversion or Git)
