  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based Pathology Lab
  • Call Schedule:
    • Weekly, alternating weeks
    • Starts Friday at 5:00 PM and ends the following Friday at 8:00 AM
    • Nights/weekend rotation is required
    • Volume: Approximately 35-50 cases read per day, with the workload split between two pathologists
    • Certification: CLIA certification held by the laboratory
    • Case Types: Broad spectrum of pathology cases, requiring a well-rounded pathologist with experience in both common and complex diagnostic workRequirements:
      • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology
      • State License: Must hold an active Michigan medical license or be eligible to obtain one
      • Emergency/Temp Privileges: Not available; standard credentialing process applies
      • Experience: Proven experience in a hospital-based pathology setting is preferredAdditional Information:
        • Call Ratio: Every other week, covering nights and weekends
        • Credentialing Timeframe: Standard timeframe applies; however, candidates must be ready to start as soon as September 30th
