Pipeline Infrastructure Software Engineer Intern

Build Python software and pipeline tools with Walt Disney Animation Studios in Vancouver, supporting animated filmmaking through hands-on technology projects.

As a Pipeline Infrastructure Intern, you will work with Disney mentors, technical directors, and software engineers. You will develop features, interfaces, and APIs for next-generation pipeline frameworks. The internship emphasizes object-oriented programming, user needs, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand workflows and propose solutions with technical directors
• Research ideas, build prototypes, and validate results
• Create interfaces detecting and resolving data integrity issues
• Expand APIs to improve user insight into data
• Document code and report project findings

Requirements:

• Pursue a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Use object-oriented programming, preferably Python
• Have UI and UX development experience
• Produce clear, testable code and troubleshoot effectively
• Communicate, collaborate, accept mentorship, and take direction
