Platform Architect Lead - Dev Ops

A successful global hedge fund specializing in mid- and high-frequency trading is seeking a Platform Engineer Lead. This role will be responsible for the design, deployment, and architecture of the firm's ultra-low latency trading platform. The candidate will automate daily software and hardware tasks, develop scripts and tools, and lead the team in maintaining a high-performance, low-latency environment.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with application owners to develop and maintain application architecture.
2. Analyze existing architectures and oversee migration efforts.
3. Optimize system performance to ensure minimal latency.
4. Adhere to project timelines within a fast-paced release cycle.
5. Implement new technologies and continuous improvement strategies.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in designing and maintaining application architectures.
2. Experience with Kubernetes environment setup and management.
3. Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, public cloud, DevOps, and enterprise architecture.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Strong knowledge of high-capacity, low-latency infrastructure.
6. Understanding of build, deployment management, and DevOps practices.
