Overview

As a Platform Design Engineer, you will design, provision and maintain secure cloud infrastructure to support CloudPay’s global payroll platform. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams across regions on complex tech challenges and incident response, driving secure automation and scalable deployments. This role offers impact shaping our infrastructure at scale while advancing a modern cloud-native stack. You will join a high‑performing team in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provision, maintain and design secure cloud infrastructure using Terraform
  • Collaborate with Platform Operations to tackle complex technical challenges and incident response
  • Build and manage secure CI/CD automation
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Collaborate with software engineers and fellow platform design engineers across the world
Key requirements
  • Experience working within agile teams
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • GitOps understanding
  • IT Security concepts including GDPR, encryption at rest/in transit, patching, least privilege
  • Networking concepts: VPNs, VPCs, Transit Gateways, Routing, DNS, Firewalls
  • Strong experience with public cloud providers (Azure, GCP or AWS) (Preferred)
  • Containerisation and microservice architecture
