Platform Engineer

In this role you will build and maintain scalable, secure data platform infrastructure that powers data-driven work. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts and engineering teams to ensure reliable data services at scale. You will design and optimize data pipelines and platform architecture, driving improvements and upholding security and governance. This is an opportunity to shape modern data platforms and collaborate across data and engineering functions. • Build and maintain scalable data platform infrastructure
• Ensure high availability, performance and security of data services
• Develop and maintain data pipelines
• Collaborate with data teams to integrate tools and services
• Troubleshoot complex platform and data infrastructure issues
• Support cross-team integration with wider systems and applications
• Drive improvements across platform architecture and design

• Strong experience in platform engineering / operations (Linux-based)
• Experience with data platforms or big data environments
• Understanding of data lake architectures and data governance
• Strong knowledge of security (encryption, access control, vulnerability management)
• Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Ansible, Puppet)
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
