Platform Engineer

In this role you will help build and operate ITV’s scalable cloud platform for streaming, supporting the ITVX product and wider Streaming business. You work within the Embedded Stream/Platform structure to implement IaC, upgrade infrastructure, and assist developers with deployments and production issues. You’ll collaborate across the Common Platform to share best practices and accelerate delivery. Your work enables reliable, secure, and performant services for millions of viewers. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and leverage Common Platform tooling
• Prioritize upgrades for Streaming deliverables and assist engineers with deployments and production issues
• Review and approve pull requests to support infrastructure changes, permissions, and access
• Maintain and support Streaming infrastructure and Common Platform components (e.g., Prometheus)
• Manage Kubernetes upgrades in AWS and design future infrastructure for new or renewed applications
• Share best practices, contribute ideas and improvements within the Common Platform team

• Secure cloud practices and building scalable cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (ideally Terraform) with version control strategies
• Containerisation experience and deploying workloads (Kubernetes)
• CI/CD experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Monitoring and alerting tools experience
• Experience responding to production incidents related to infrastructure
