Platform Engineer

In this Platform Engineer role, you will deploy applications to cloud or on-prem environments for diverse business areas while helping to strengthen cyber security. You work within SCRUM teams in a mature, agile setting to deliver mission-critical, cyber-focused solutions. You will build and automate development tools and infrastructure, tackle security threats, and collaborate with engineers to ensure repeatable processes. This role offers exposure to cloud and on-prem platforms in a field that supports national security, with a clear impact on system resilience and delivery.

• Deploy applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments
• Build and set up development tools and infrastructure
• Automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensure systems are secure against cyber threats
• Identify technical problems and develop updates/solutions
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure processes are followed

• Experience in Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model
• Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
• Experience in building and deploying large-scale applications in CI/CD pipelines
• Container platforms and orchestration (ECS, AKS, Kubernetes/Helm/Docker)
• Automation and integration tools (Jenkins, Concourse CI)
