Platform Engineer

Overview
You will evolve and own our internal developer platform to empower software teams, driving scalable, secure cloud operations. You’ll make technical decisions, promote best practices, and reduce platform toil while reinforcing security. You’ll design a developer-friendly platform, enable self-service tooling, and lead CI/CD and GitOps across cloud infrastructure. You’ll mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to upgrade services. This role combines hands-on platform engineering with technical leadership to support energy-tech scale and reliability.

- Design and build a scalable, reliable internal developer platform
- Drive self-service tooling to reduce platform complexity
- Lead Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Helm, Crossplane and promote GitOps
- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and tracing in alliance with SRE
- Embed automated security controls and maintain reliability, including on-call duties
- Mentor engineers and coordinate technical upgrades with stakeholders
- Strong experience designing, building, and operating production applications at scale
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
- Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) or Google Cloud or Azure
- Hands-on experience architecting, managing, and maintaining production Kubernetes clusters
- Understanding of distributed systems and resiliency patterns
- Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps patterns, and Infrastructure as Code technologies
