Overview

As Platform Engineer you will evolve our Google Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling to scale product delivery. You’ll treat the platform as a product, partnering with engineering teams to enable fast, safe deployments and robust observability. Your work will shape how we ship features like mutual funds, bonds and AI-enabled workflows, while maintaining security and regulatory guardrails. This role offers hands-on ownership and cross-functional collaboration at a rapidly growing fintech.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Google Cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes, serverless, and Terraform, guiding teams to choose the right underlying platforms.
  • Improve the commit-to-production pipeline with faster builds, safer rollouts, and clearer failure signals in CI/CD.
  • Treat the platform as a product: anticipate engineering needs from the roadmap and design scalable services accordingly.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate AI into development workflows and refine tooling and guardrails as AI evolves.
  • Support monitoring, diagnostics, and observability to achieve best-in-class alerting and SLOs.
  • Partner with security, risk, and compliance to embed regulatory guardrails and ship compliantly by default.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain platform components in production, growing ownership of platform areas over time.
Key requirements
  • Built, shipped, and operated production backend services across the full lifecycle.
  • Interest in platform thinking and understanding of how code runs, scales, and interacts with systems.
  • Proficiency with Node.js (TypeScript), Terraform, and Kubernetes; willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Experience with a major cloud provider (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable) and IaC like Terraform.
  • Hands-on CI/CD experience and a track record of improving or owning pipelines.
  • Product-minded mindset: focus on why features matter and measurable outcomes for engineers shipping code.
  • Judicious use of AI tools with clear awareness of limitations and risks, not just ML expertise.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, unfamiliar code, and solving problems with minimal guidance.
  • Scripting ability (JavaScript, Python, or similar) and a habit of automating repetitive tasks.
