Overview

As a Platform Engineer at 9fin, you enable a top-tier DevOps culture and deliver a world-class developer experience for engineers. You design and ship infrastructure as code and multi-account AWS core systems to support fast, secure product delivery. You build a developer portal and CI/CD tooling to accelerate releases while upholding security and reliability. You contribute to observability, SLI/SLO reporting, and open source projects that enhance the engineering experience. This role sits at the heart of 9fin’s mission to provide a scalable, high-quality platform for debt markets.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code templates and modules for reuse across projects
  • Build and manage AWS multi-account core infrastructure with security best practices
  • Author and optimize CI/CD templates to enable frequent, reliable releases
  • Develop a developer portal and service catalog for the engineering team
  • Contribute to observability practices and provide SLI/SLO metrics
  • Develop inner/open source projects to improve developer experience
  • Support and enable engineers to deliver high-quality products quickly and securely
Key requirements
  • Proficient with AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route53, CloudFront, S3, RDS)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (OpenTelemetry, AWS CloudWatch, SigNoz) a plus
  • SRE basics and incident management tooling (e.g., incident.io, PagerDuty)
  • Strong CI/CD pipeline development and support
  • Linux, Git, Docker; scripting in Python, Bash, or Go; proficient in at least one modern language
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
