Overview

As a Platform Engineer at Lendable, you will build and run multi-account AWS platforms powering our fintech products. You join a tight Platform Engineering team and work with product engineers to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure. You’ll contribute to design, delivery, and operation of platform capabilities, emphasizing self-service, safety, and fast delivery. This role offers hands-on ownership of platform components and opportunities to shape how engineering teams adopt our tools and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Build and operate the platform across AWS using Terraform and Terragrunt
  • Maintain Kubernetes, GitOps, and observability tooling in production
  • Investigate and resolve platform issues including incident response and post-incident improvements
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the team
  • Enable safe, fast delivery through progressive rollouts, canary deployments and safe rollbacks
  • Contribute to CI/CD and developer tooling for a better engineering experience
  • Partner with engineering teams on infrastructure, databases and deployment best practices
  • Improve self-service capabilities and platform adoption across teams
  • Incorporate security into the software delivery lifecycle and policy-as-code
  • Work with Platform Engineering and Security teams to improve system safety
  • Utilize AI-assisted tooling for code generation, debugging and operations
  • Share knowledge via documentation, pairing and code reviews
  • Build growing ownership of platform components over time
Key requirements
  • Practical experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes-based applications
  • Experience with a cloud platform, ideally AWS
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform
  • Experience with modern CI/CD tooling
  • Scripting in TypeScript/Node, Python or Go
  • Strong Linux, networking and security fundamentals
  • Experience troubleshooting production systems and operational issues
  • Ability to work in small, cross-functional teams
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and practices
