Overview

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will build and maintain scalable, secure data platforms and ensure reliable data services. You will partner with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-availability infrastructure and robust pipelines. You’ll drive architecture improvements, tackle complex platform issues, and support cross-team integration with broader systems. This role offers the chance to shape modern data platforms at scale and advance best practices in automation and security.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scalable data platform infrastructure
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data services
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines
  • Collaborate with data teams to integrate tools and services
  • Troubleshoot complex platform and data infrastructure issues
  • Support cross‑team integration with wider systems and applications
  • Drive improvements across platform architecture and design
Key requirements
  • Strong experience in platform engineering / operations (Linux-based)
  • Experience with data platforms or big data environments
  • Understanding of data lake architectures and data governance
  • Strong knowledge of security (encryption, access control, vulnerability management)
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
