Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer in Belfast, you will design, automate and optimise secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure to deliver resilient, high-performing platforms. You will own platform reliability and work with DevOps and development teams to improve deployments in a security-conscious environment. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, and scalable operations within a mission-critical programme. • Design, Deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and Linux infrastructure
• Automate provisioning and operations using Ansible, scripting and Infrastructure as Code
• Orchestrate and scale Kubernetes workloads and microservices
• Maintain platform security, resilience, backup and disaster recovery capabilities
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps to improve deployment efficiency

• Hands-on Linux-based infrastructure and container platforms
• Strong automation skills; secure, highly available environments
• Experience with Red Hat and Kubernetes
• Experience with Ansible, scripting and IaC
• Understanding of containerisation, networking and infrastructure security
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of monitoring, high availability and disaster recovery
• UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain it
