Overview
As a DevOps/Platform Engineer in ITV’s Common Platform, you’ll design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure to support Content Supply and Delivery. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across CS&D and the wider Platform, applying IaC and AWS-native patterns to improve deployment and reliability. You’ll drive upgrades, troubleshoot production issues, and share best practices to uplift engineering across the organisation. This role is hybrid (London/Leeds) with frequent collaboration in London, shaping cloud-native capabilities at scale.

Responsibilities
- Implement IaC using Terraform and leverage Common Platform tooling
- Prioritize upgrades with CS&D and assist engineers with deployments and production issues
- Review and approve pull requests related to infrastructure changes
- Maintain and support CS&D infrastructure (e.g., Jenkins) and the Common Platform infrastructure
- Manage Kubernetes upgrades in AWS and design infrastructure for new or redesigned applications
- Share best practices within the Common Platform and contribute improvements and designs
Key requirements
- Secure cloud practices and building high-performance, scalable cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS)
- Infrastructure as Code experience (ideally Terraform) and strong version control practices
- Containerisation experience and deploying workloads on Kubernetes
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Experience responding to production incidents related to infrastructure
- Strong communication and constructive feedback skills
- Team-oriented and capable of building relationships across Embedded and Platform teams
