Overview
In this Platform Engineer role, you will design, build and optimise scalable AWS infrastructure to support a fast-growing technology company in renewable energy storage and trading. You’ll work closely with software teams to deliver secure, cost-effective cloud solutions and take ownership of infrastructure projects from idea to delivery. You will shape architectural decisions, automate processes, and improve ways of working while ensuring reliability and performance. This senior, hands-on position offers impact across the platform and opportunities to mentor others, with a hybrid London-based setup.

- Design and implement scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS, Lambda)
- Lead infrastructure projects from requirements through delivery
- Build and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Monitor and optimise environments using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
- Enforce security best practices (IAM, roles, policies, least privilege)
- Collaborate with software teams and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions
- Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to the wider infra team
- Terraform experience on a cloud platform
- Deep AWS knowledge
- Track record delivering large infrastructure projects
- Security best practices knowledge and CI/CD expertise
- Docker/containerisation experience
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
