Overview

As a Platform Engineer at Wayve, you build, operate, and improve Azure-based cloud platforms to support development, testing, and production. You work with IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration to enable scalable, secure software delivery. You’ll join a cross-functional team to optimize reliability, performance, and cost while advancing Wayve’s cloud-first platform strategy. This role offers hands-on growth in infrastructure automation and observability at a fast-paced AI robotics company.

Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure) for development, testing, and production environments
  • Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code implementations (Terraform, Ansible) for repeatable provisioning
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems in cloud environments
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Assist in managing containerised workloads and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Implement and maintain observability tools (logging, metrics, alerting) for system health and rapid incident response
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets application requirements and supports scalable delivery
  • Improve security, access control, and compliance within cloud environments
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Continuously improve automation, reducing manual operations across infra and deployment workflows
Key requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems and cloud-based deployment pipelines
  • Basic understanding of networking, cloud architecture, and system reliability
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
