Platform Engineering Lead

In this Platform Engineering Team Lead role, you will own and shape a cloud platform for a global fintech, driving developer experience and self-service capabilities. You’ll lead a seven-person team while staying technically hands-on across GCP, Kubernetes, and IaC, supporting a high-availability payments platform and an AI-driven decisioning product. You’ll influence architecture, automate it all, and grow the platform engineering function to enable faster software delivery. This is a chance to lead technical direction while keeping close to the technology and impact scale.

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of platform engineers (7+ members)
• Remain technically hands-on with GCP, Kubernetes/GKE, and Terraform
• Oversee platform engineering for a new AI decisioning product
• Help scale a global payments platform with emphasis on security, resilience, and availability
• Shape architecture and challenge technical decisions
• Drive automation, self-service, and Infrastructure as Code
• Improve Developer Experience and streamline build/deploy processes
• Influence long-term direction of the Platform Engineering function

• Strong experience across Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficiency in Kubernetes/GKE
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise
• Proven track record in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or cloud infrastructure
• Technical leadership, mentoring or coaching others
• Payments/fintech or security-critical systems experience is valuable but not essential
