Platform Engineering Manager

As Platform Engineering Manager, you will lead a hands-on team focused on developer experience, productivity, and AI-powered tooling to help engineers ship high-quality software rapidly and safely. You will shape roadmaps for CI/CD, developer workflows, and self-serve tooling while promoting end-to-end ownership across cross-functional teams. The role centers on building a cohesive platform experience, leveraging AI capabilities to automate and scale engineering work. • Lead a platform engineering team and drive roadmaps for CI/CD, developer workflows, and internal tooling
• Create a unified developer experience by integrating tools from across platform groups into a self-service interface with visibility into service health
• Define capacity plans and right-sized architecture templates enabling self-serve infrastructure decisions
• Develop AI-powered platform tooling and automation to streamline SRE/support workflows
• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security Engineering, and Product to prioritize investments with the greatest impact
• Coach engineers and technical leads to foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture with rapid iteration
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across strategic and technical contexts
• Guide adoption of AI tools for planning, execution, and team communication

• 1-2 years of direct people management or technical program management experience
• 3-5 years of hands-on software engineering experience building developer productivity tools or internal platforms
• Strong knowledge of Go and/or Python
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and distributed systems
• Familiarity with capacity planning and right-sized architecture patterns
• Understanding of SRE practices and tooling
• Experience leading globally distributed teams and coordinating across time zones
• Excellent communication and ability to balance technical depth with leadership responsibilities
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and familiarity with large language model APIs
