Platform Engineering Manager

As Platform Engineering Manager, you lead the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of M&S connectivity platforms across a large estate. You provide technical authority for operational connectivity services, oversee outsourced NOC partners, and drive automation and observability to boost resilience. You’ll shape site reliability practices and supplier governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality connectivity. • Own the operational integrity and continuous improvement of connectivity platforms across the M&S estate
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code to improve consistency, scalability, and efficiency
• Embed observability and Site Reliability Engineering practices to strengthen resilience and performance
• Reduce operational overhead through proactive engineering and continuous improvement
• Lead managed service providers with governance, performance oversight, and service improvement initiatives

• Extensive experience operating enterprise-scale network platforms
• Deep technical expertise across Cisco ACI, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper Mist and Microsoft Azure Networking
• Strong automation and software engineering skills, including Terraform, Python and GitHub-based workflows
• Excellent leadership with strong observability and SRE principles
• Proven ability to influence outcomes and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups
