In this Platform Lead role, you orchestrate the successful integration, operation, and strategic roadmap of an outsourced platform. You act as the main bridge between technology and the vendor, ensuring service levels, security, and value delivery. You govern contracts, drive improvements, and establish the platform as a core operational capability. You work with cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into delivery and report outcomes to senior leadership. This is a chance to shape a scalable, client‑centric technology platform at Quilter.

- Act as primary liaison with the outsourced platform vendor, managing relationships and escalations
- Maintain contracts, SLAs, KPIs, pricing, and change management for technology operations
- Lead vendor performance reviews and drive accountability across periods
- Manage vendor risk, contingency planning, and data protection/compliance obligations
- Translate platform strategy into an actionable roadmap and own the product backlog
- Define and track platform OKRs and success metrics for governance reporting
- Oversee technical integration into the organisation's architecture, data landscape, and systems
- Coordinate platform onboarding, migrations, and upgrades with minimal disruption
- Ensure security, compliance, and data governance in design and delivery
- Own platform operational health, incident management, problem resolution, and RCA
- Develop runbooks, escalation paths, and service continuity procedures
- Monitor availability and capacity; manage change, releases, and patch cycles
- Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery with IT and Risk teams
- Engage stakeholders across business units and translate capabilities into outcomes
- Produce executive reports on performance, risks, costs, and initiatives
- Facilitate governance forums and communications around platform changes
- Manage platform budget, vendor spend, licensing, and internal resource allocation
- Forecast costs, provide variance analysis, and build business cases for investments
- Maintain platform risk register and ensure regulatory compliance and audits
- Lead and develop platform team members and foster continuous improvement
- Occasional travel to vendor sites and participation in on‑call support as needed
- Proven experience in platform management, product ownership, or tech delivery in a complex organisation
- Track record of managing outsourced technology vendors with contract governance and service performance management
- Strong understanding of platform integration, APIs, data architecture, and enterprise tech landscapes
- Experience owning and executing a technology roadmap and delivering strategy
- Solid commercial skills including budgeting, cost modelling, and business case development
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Experience with ITIL or equivalent service management (incident, change, release, problem) processes
- Good understanding of information security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in tech
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritise under pressure, and drive decisions in a fast-paced environment
