Overview

In this role you will shape the Storage Platform by building APIs, workflows and data models that turn infrastructure into self-service products. You’ll automate capacity, tenant, quota and data lifecycle processes to keep systems safe, auditable and scalable. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to turn operational problems into bounded engineering work and contribute to incident response. Responsibilities
  • Build and operate services and APIs in Python, Go and TypeScript
  • Automate capacity, tenant, quota, access and data lifecycle workflows
  • Create self-service requests with policy checks and clear exception paths
  • Model infrastructure state to enable idempotent, auditable changes
  • Define stable contracts between storage platform and developer platform services
  • Build tests, fixtures and observability to facilitate safe diagnosis of failures
  • Collaborate with users and partner teams to turn operational problems into bounded engineering work
  • Participate in incident response and the on-call rotation
Key requirements
  • Strong Python; practical Go and TypeScript software engineering skills
  • Experience designing, testing and operating APIs and backend services
  • Experience building infrastructure automation, workflows or reconciliation systems
  • Understanding of retries, partial failure, concurrency, idempotency and eventual consistency
  • Strong Linux and production troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with CI/CD, observability and safe deployment practices
  • Practical approach to security, permissions, audit and change control
