Overview

In this role you will design, implement and manage scalable storage architectures to support reliable data warehousing and secure information management for a global financial client. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver high-performance, resilient storage solutions across multi-vendor environments. You will tackle outages, optimization, and security enhancements while driving automation and modernization. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role in a fast-paced, latency-sensitive setting with global reach.

Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain storage across tiers (high-performance, cost-effective, archive, backup/recovery, DR)
  • Implement multi-protocol (CIFS, NFS) file storage and block-based All-Flash Arrays
  • Manage object storage and disk/tape backup solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver deployments, upgrades, performance tuning and testing
  • Maintain asset inventory, configuration management, capacity, performance, and security across technologies
  • Evaluate and design solutions with clear scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Provide after-hours/weekend support for data centre upgrades and maintenance
  • Contribute to a project roadmap introducing automation and innovative tooling
  • Interact with internal teams to deliver timely, proactive storage solutions
  • Administer storage infrastructures including archival/compliance systems and incident management
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in storage and related hardware
  • 5+ years Linux/Windows OS management and administration
  • 3-5 years with Commvault backup solution
  • 2+ years experience with cloud storage concepts (Azure/AWS/GCS)
  • 2+ years experience with Visio for solution diagrams
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification plus storage vendor certification (HP/Dell/EMC, NetApp, Oracle, or HDS)
  • Strong experience with multiple storage systems (HP Primavera, Dell EMC) in virtualized, hybrid data centers
  • Experience with NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NetApp Filers, Pure Flash, Nimble, EMC ECS, Cohesity, or DAS
  • Experience managing and optimizing backup environments and schedules
  • Experience with hardware/software management, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security
  • Ability to work under pressure during outages and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Automation experience using PowerShell or Python
