Platform Support Specialist

We are looking for a Platform Support Specialist for a 3 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and support Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI environments across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Manage platform upgrades, patches, configurations, licensing, access, and user administration.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, performance, and availability across development, test, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, connectivity, gateway, server, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to maintain secure and reliable environments.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support runbooks.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in platform stability, performance, and support processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise BI/analytics platforms.
• Strong experience with one or more of Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI , ideally with exposure to multiple platforms.
• Experience supporting production environments , including troubleshooting, monitoring, upgrades, and incident resolution.
• Understanding of servers, virtual machines, operating systems, networking, security, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
• Experience working with enterprise technology, infrastructure, or application support teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

This is a platform administration/support role , not primarily a BI development or report-building position.
