Platform Technical Lead (Cloud Infrastructure & AI Enablement)

As Platform Technical Lead, you will shape the cloud and AI-enabled platform strategy, guiding multiple engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient software. You’ll establish standards, governance, and developer platforms while advancing AI-native delivery and automation. You’ll partner across Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations and Product to elevate platform capabilities and enable rapid, resilient product delivery. This role offers the opportunity to influence investments and drive cross-functional technical excellence at scale.

• Define and evolve cloud platform, developer platform and AI enablement strategy across the organisation
• Lead and grow engineering teams focused on cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, developer experience and AI enablement
• Set cloud-native engineering standards, guardrails and reusable capabilities
• Drive platform engineering practices, self-service platforms and infrastructure automation
• Govern AI tooling strategy and responsible use of AI-generated artefacts
• Evaluate and operationalise AI engineering technologies including coding assistants and agent frameworks
• Own platform capabilities like CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, secrets management, and security
• Improve developer productivity and delivery throughput through automation and AI enablement
• Ensure platform services remain secure, scalable, resilient and cost-efficient
• Define platform reliability, availability, security and operational excellence objectives
• Lead cloud platform evolution including multi-tenancy, multi-region deployment and governance
• Influence investments in platform, cloud and engineering technology
• Build engineering capability through coaching, talent development and succession planning

• 10+ years in software, infrastructure or platform engineering
• 5+ years leading cloud infrastructure or engineering enablement teams
• Experience defining cloud platform strategy and operating models
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, container platforms and cloud-native architectures
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and platform automation
• Experience driving AI engineering tooling and AI-native software delivery
• Familiarity with LLM platforms, agents, evaluation frameworks and AI governance
• Experience with observability, DevOps, CI/CD and developer productivity platforms
• Experience managing multi-region, multi-tenant, large-scale cloud platforms
