In this role you will support Squarepoint’s ultra-low latency infrastructure spanning 400+ servers across 30 sites. You’ll collaborate with SRE, Network, Applications, Quants and business partners to deliver end-to-end solutions, automate operations, and maintain secure, high-performance systems. You’ll manage Linux-based environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive self-healing and automation to reduce toil. This position offers impact at scale, contributing to reliable, low-latency trading infrastructure and incident response. You will work to align engineering efforts with business priorities and long-term platform resilience.

- Manage and optimize a distributed compute environment and large-scale storage
- Install, monitor and operate Linux (RHEL-based) systems
- Troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues across the stack
- Create self-healing, automated recovery workflows
- Respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotations
- Improve operational efficiency via automation and standardized processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize work and deliver both tactical and strategic objectives
- 5+ years of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) in large, complex environments
- Experience with low-latency network interfaces and kernel bypass (Solarflare with onload, Mellanox with VMA)
- Experience with build/config management tools (Chef or Ansible)
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Bash)
- Solid understanding of server network stack (TCP, UDP, NTP, PTP, Wireshark/Tshark)
- Trading venue familiarity (Nasdaq, LSE, Euronext)
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related experience
