Platforms Systems Engineer Communications

Lead vehicle communications system engineering for General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada, focusing on architecture, integration, and validation. Apply technical leadership across complex platform installations.

This Platforms Systems Engineer provides technical leadership for vehicle-level communications systems. You will develop requirements, architectures, interfaces, and technical solutions for ground combat vehicles and mobile structures. The work includes integration, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements, architecture, interface, and technical solution development
• Balance performance, weight, power, volume, reliability, and EMI/EMC
• Direct integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities
• Coordinate lab resources, equipment, infrastructure, and workspace
• Develop technical documentation, reviews, and risk assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, or systems engineering
• Six or more years of relevant systems engineering experience
• Experience with architecture, requirements management, integration, and testing
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, DOORS/Jama, and harness software
• Eligibility to work in Canada and obtain security clearance
