PLC Software Engineer

In this role you will develop PLC code from drawings or specifications and lead software development for client automation projects. You will conduct onsite commissioning, I/O testing, and ensure compliance with functional safety standards. The position requires international travel and possible weekend or night work to meet project deadlines within a global team. You will collaborate with project management, engineering, and installation teams to deliver quality PLC solutions and progress updates. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to influence automation across aerospace, conveyors, robotics, and logistics domains within a fast-paced environment.

• Develop PLC code from drawings or customer specifications
• Perform PLC software development
• Onsite commissioning and I/O testing/setup
• Ensure compliance to functional safety and standards
• Coordinate with subcontract design resources to ensure delivery quality
• Provide progress status reports to stakeholders
• Liaise with project management, engineering, and installation teams
• Cross-functional collaboration to complete projects

• Solid experience in Automation
• Experience in similar working environments
• Knowledge across aerospace, mechanical/material handling, conveyor systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, control systems
• Proficiency with Rockwell RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 and Studio 5000
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Project; PowerPoint and Visio (preferred)
• Knowledge of Power & Free Conveyor Systems
• Ignition SCADA; Emulate 3D
• Valid Driving Licence
• Valid Passport
• Any relevant engineering qualification
