PLM and MBSE Implementation Consultant - SC-Cleared

PLM / MBSE Implementation Consultants | Inside IR35 | 2 year programme | Barrow and Manchester

Pigment Consulting is a professional services firm purpose-built for change. We partner with other consultancies, government departments, and private sector organisations to deliver large-scale complex change programmes acros Government and Defence.

Location: Barrow / North West - hybrid with regular on-site presence
Clearance: Current SC clearance required
Engagement: Contract / Interim

Pigment Consulting is supporting a major engineering and digital transformation programme within the UK defence sector and is looking to identify experienced PLM / MBSE specialists to support the implementation and adoption of new engineering capabilities.

This isn't a requirement for people who have simply used PLM or MBSE tools.

We're particularly interested in people who have been involved in implementing and embedding these capabilities within complex engineering environments - ideally combining a strong engineering background with technology implementation and the ability to bring engineering teams through significant process and ways-of-working change.

We're interested in people with experience across:

• PLM implementation, configuration and deployment
• MBSE implementation and adoption
• Cameo Systems Modeler / Cameo
• Systems engineering and complex engineering environments
• Engineering process transformation
• Integration of PLM/MBSE into existing engineering toolsets and processes
• Requirements, architecture and engineering lifecycle management
• Working between engineering, digital/technology and programme teams
• Supporting engineers and stakeholders through new processes, tools and ways of working
• Change management within engineering-led organisations

Experience within defence, maritime, aerospace, nuclear or other highly regulated engineering environments would be particularly relevant.

We'd also be interested in people whose background sits somewhere between the traditional job titles, such as an engineer who has moved into PLM/MBSE implementation, or a technical implementation specialist with strong engineering and change experience.

Essential requirements

Due to the nature of the programme, applicants must:

• Hold current UK SC clearance
• Be a Sole UK national
• Be able to work regularly on-site in Barrow / the North West

This is likely to suit people who are comfortable working in environments where the end-state is still developing and who can do more than operate a tool, helping a major engineering organisation determine how the capability should actually be implemented and embedded.
